If your work schedule takes you over the hill or into the city each day, your body is probably crying out for Pilates while your schedule seems to prohibit it!

Hours in the car and sitting at a desk can contribute to lower back pain, fatigue, joint and muscle stiffness, and more. Pilates will counteract these unhealthy movement patterns with breath, stretching exercises and exhilirating toning movements. In addition, the work retrains those tired postural muscles for increased balance and alignment. Joe Pilates defined physical fitness as "the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure.” Doesn't that sound great?

Studio 4 Pilates offers several options specifically for the commuter. We have instructors available to teach private sessions starting at 6am, and after work at 6 and 7 pm, in addition to our Saturday availability from 8am-2pm.

We also offer classes in the before-and-after-work time slots: Early Bird Equipment classes 6am on Mondays and Wednesdays are a great way to start the day! After work, we have classes Monday through Thursday at 5 and 6pm, and at 7pm on Thursdays. If there is a class or time that you would like to see offered, please let us know! And don't forget our great weekend offerings: Pilates Mat at 8am on Saturdays, Advanced Mat at 9am on Saturdays, and Foundations of Yoga on Sundays at 8:30am.
